During my residency at Naughty Muse Studio in Busan, South Korea, I developed a body of work based on an AI-generated archive of imaginary people. These non-existent figures function as fragments of memory—synthetic yet familiar—translated into silkscreen-printed images and further transformed through sewing and quilting.
The works reference the shapes and logic of packaging: boxes, compartments, and containers designed to hold, store, and protect. Quilting becomes both a structural and conceptual tool, echoing systems of archiving while introducing softness, tactility, and labour. The printed images are embedded into textile surfaces, stitched together as if assembling a collection of stored identities.
The series unfolds across different scales. Smaller quilts and quilted objects resemble items that could be found inside a drawer or a box—intimate, portable, and personal. Alongside these, a larger quilted wall piece expands the archive outward, depicting objects alongside a human figure.
